This afternoon I had the opportunity to photograph Lucy, who weighs just 2 pounds! She also happens to have the cutest hat collection I've ever seen. :) Her parents couldn't have been sweeter and I wish the three of them nothing but the best as Lucy continues to get stronger!

addyson - 1 year

I can't even begin to tell you how excited I was for this shoot yesterday. Addyson happens to be one of the babies I photographed last year through the ACPCG. She only weighed 1 pound, 7.9 ounces when she was born. Check her out now .. a year later! I am so thrilled she's doing so well!

Along with Addy's wonderful Mom & Dad, her Grandparents and Aunt also joined us for the photos. It was so great meeting them and I can't thank them enough (and Dan as well) for making Addy laugh and smile for the photos. They are all hired for my upcoming kid shoots! ;)

So on with the photos .. these are just a few of my favorites. It was really hard to pick so I went a little crazy with posting. :) I'm sure her family won't mind!

During all the fun yesterday, Addy's Grandaddy was taking some action shots of all of us and he just sent me a few. I thought I'd share one. :) I'm sure being on the other side of the camera with all those people making faces and crazy noises had to be hilarious. :)

march of dimes walk 2008

This Sunday I participated in the March of Dimes March for Babies. Many of the families I have met and photographed through the ACPCG have had some incredible help from the March of Dimes and were walking as well. It was so nice seeing familiar faces and babies who have more than doubled their weight since I first met them. :)

About a week ago, I was honored when the March of Dimes contacted me to use some of the photos I had taken of families in the NICU's of the hospitals around Indianapolis. The photos were part of a banner that was at the finish line of the walk. How great is that!?

It was such a fun day. Just seeing how many people were there supporting this wonderful cause was really moving and emotional. I seriously cannot say this enough .. I am so grateful for the families I have met these past two years. Their strength and courage is unbelievable.

I can't wait until next year! :)

baby bradyn

This sweet little boy is Bradyn. I contacted his mom to see if they wanted some photos through the ACPCG this past week. He happens to be friends with another baby who I photographed last year, Addyson. I was so excited when they took me up on the offer. I had been reading a blog his family updates and was really looking forward to meeting them.

After searching for a parking spot for over half an hour (which was way more stressful than it should have been!) at Riley Children's Hospital, I finally got to meet him, his mom Jill and his Grandmother. He could have cared less that I was there taking pictures. :) He was just happy to have mom and Grandma singing to him. It was so sweet. Isn't his smile contagious? :)

baby westin

Meet Baby Westin. He's spent 80 days in the hospital since he was born and finally got the great news that he's going home today! :) I was supposed to meet him and his family at the hospital last week but got I hit with the flu. We rescheduled for this morning and I'm so glad I got to photograph him before he went home! :)

Carissa & Ryan .. it was so great meeting you guys. All my best to you and your adorable boy!

I photographed Baby Westin as part of the the American Child Photographers Charity Guild. We are a group of photographers who volunteer our services to families at no charge who are dealing with early infant loss, extremely premature child birth and families who have terminally ill children. baby timothy

Baby Timothy was the 2nd baby I photographed on Wednesday at Methodist Hospital. I couldn't believe how much hair he had! :) I had a great time photographing him and his parents. They mentioned he was already a flirt and it was totally true! He was eating up getting his picture taken. He couldn't keep his eyes off my camera. :) They are hoping he will get to go home in about 3 or 4 weeks so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for them!

baby christian

I spent Wednesday morning photographing two preemie babies at Methodist Hospital for the ACPCG. This first post is of Baby Christian. He was born at 31 weeks and now only weighs 4 pounds. Every time I walk in that NICU, I am more and more amazed by these families and the babies that are fighting for their lives. I'm happy to say that Christian will hopefully be going home soon! I wish him and his family the best. :)

baby clayton

I met baby Clayton and his mom, Jamie, at Methodist Hospital yesterday for a session through the ACPCG. Clayton was born a high risk preemie, only weighing 2 pounds! He is such a precious little baby. He was so alert for the photos and even opened his eyes for us a few times.

Jamie .. I hope you enjoy your photos! I'll keep Clayton in my thoughts for a quick and healthy recovery!
