becky, austin, lexy & abbi

I love these guys .. especially because they are my family! :) Meet my cousin Becky and her three kiddies, Austin, Lexy & Abbi. They live in Iowa but we were all visiting my Grandma in Illinois recently so I stole them for a quick little shoot at one of our favorite parks. Time goes by so quickly. I can still remember holding Abbi when she was just a newborn!

My Grandma's 4 great-grandkids. Grandma is so getting an 8x10 of this for Christmas. ;)

reger family

My mom and I made a special trip to Illinois to take these photos (and to visit my Grandma, of course!). A few of the family members have known me since I was a baby! :) We shot the pictures at a park right next to the Mississippi River. It ended up being a perfect evening for photos (well, maybe besides the wind!). :)

snyder family

Photographing the Snyder family was such a fun shoot for me. I met most of the family back in my junior high and high school days (sooo long ago). It was so great seeing everyone again & meeting the new kids in the family!

brennan's family

A little over a year ago, I met Brennan and her family at Riley Children's Hospital for a little photo shoot. Brennan's mom is pregnant again so she wanted a few family photos before Brennan's brother is born. :)

I can't believe how much she's grown (& how absolutely adorable she is!). She's so smart too! She was doing sign language while we were outside doing pictures. It always amazes me how quickly kids pick that up. All I can do is spell my name .. not very impressive. :)

kelsey's family

If anyone is a big blog follower of mine, you'll remember I met little Kelsey the day she was born almost a year ago. I couldn't wait to photograph her again with her parents! She's got such a sweet personality now. She smiled almost the entire time we were outside so my job was way too easy. :)

addy's family

I recently photographed Addyson (one of my favorite kids!), along with some of her family. Everyone was in town for the March of Dimes walk since Addy was born a preemie. I love that I get a chance to do pictures of her every year! Maybe one of these days she'll be used to my camera. :)

the strand family

I met the Strand family a few years ago when Dan and I photographed Natalie & Jon's wedding. Last week I was taken completely by surprise when Natalie called to let me know that Jon's mom was getting ready to start treatment for cancer & they were in need of some family photos.

Laurie has an absolutely wonderful family surrounding her and I couldn't have been more grateful that they chose me to photograph them during such a difficult time in their lives. Times like these make me realize how important my job can really be.

Please please continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers as she begins her treatment.

Now check out the beautiful family! :)

nick, ryann & addyson

I know it's been a million years since I have updated this little blog of mine but what better way to start things back up than photos of my favorite family (besides my own, of course)!? :) Dan and I love Nick, Ryann and Addyson. We're so thankful for their friendship and look forward to photographing little Addy more as she grows up! :)

We did the photos on Saturday, when the first official "big" snow hit. It was so pretty and made their photos 100 times more festive! :)

the leake family

On our trip to Bloomington a week or so ago, I also did some family pictures for one of my favorite friends, Shanyn. They were a Christmas gift to her mom (who is so great!). Shanyn and I have been friends since we were teenagers so you know I had a great time spending the morning with them. :) They are quite possibly some of the nicest people on the planet. :)

Here are a few favorites!
