grandpa green

The picture above is me and my grandpa when I was about 5 months old. Isn't it cute? I just recently found it over at my parent's house. It's been hanging on my fridge so I could see it every day. Yesterday I got a surprising call from my dad letting me know my grandpa had passed away. He had been sick on and off the past year or so. He lived down in Florida with my aunt but luckily they both got to come and visit 3 times last year. He also got the chance to spend some time with Reagan, who was his third great-grandchild (I looked a lot like she does now in that picture! .. even though that was taken almost 24 years ago!). :) I talked to him about a week ago and the last thing he said to me that he was so proud of everything I've accomplished with my photography and that all of my pictures were beautiful. It's been the best compliment anyone has ever given me. :) I'm really going to miss him.

jessica & jason

Last weekend I assisted Jessica Strickland with a wedding. I don't even know where to start when it comes to how thankful I am that we are friends and that I get opportunites to work and photograph with her. Her work ethic and the photographs she produces are such an inspiration to me (and I'm sure that's the same for countless amounts of other photographers!).

Besides being an absolutely freeeeezing day, everything was great! Brandon & Cybil from B&C Digital Media were there to my surprise. I had worked with them at another wedding so it was really fun spending the day with them too .. dreaming about french fries. :)

Enjoy the pictures!

happy valentine's day!

I hope everyone is having a great Valentine's Day! We have had a pretty crazy snow storm and I've been snowed in almost all day. Luckily my friend Nick picked me up in his Jeep and we ran to the grocery store and did a little shopping. He saved the day! Tonight, we're having some friends over for dinner, sledding, and some Apples to Apples game time! I'm sooo excited! :) Happy Valentine's Day! <3

jeremy & cami

Back in May of 2004, my brother got married. Since I haven't had many new wedding pictures to post, I thought I'd scan some of Jeremy & Cami's pictures and post a few! All of these were actually done on film. It's insane the huuuuge differences between film and digital.

They had such a beautiful wedding. They got married in Salt Lake City in the mountains. It actually snowed a little! :) Their reception was held in Cami's mom's backyard which was soo nice. It had really great views of all the mountains too. Everything was so pretty. Dan and I are hoping to go visit them soon.

I wish I would have known as much as I do now back when I photographed their wedding. Don't get me wrong, I love love love how their pictures turned out but I would have taken hundreds more than I originally did! :D haha It's definitely one of the best weddings I've been to .. and I have been to a ton! ;)

yay colts!

I am sooo psyched the Colts won the Super Bowl! We spent our night with our great friends, Adam & Jalaina. It was so much fun! Especially since I showed up with football cupcakes! Yum! --->).

The city has been nuts since they won! Tonight they had a parade with the Colts players (freezing their butts off, I'm sure!). The players went around the downtown streets on floats and drove straight into the RCA Dome. There were almost 50,000 Colts fans in the Dome going crazy. I would have killed to be there but unfortunately Dan and I couldn't go . Last night after the game his car wouldn't start and we spent the night installing a new battery. The insane freezing weather had killed it.

We got a glimps of them on their way home though! Dan and I live right next to the complex where the Colts practice. It's been so funny hearing every car go buy honk over and over when they drive by. Though, it is kind of getting annoying. :) After the big rally downtown, we got to see all the players drive by our home and pull up in each bus (8 total!) at the complex. They had the lights on in the bus so we got a glimpse of a few of the players. It was so fun .. and I am such a geek! :)

Congrats to my neighbors! ;) Go Colts!

Well, tomorrow is my 24th birthday! They are predicting a huge snow storm to hit Indy that could possibly ruin my birthday plans! :( I might miss out on P.F. Chang's for dinner! That will be tragic!
