a day in the NICU

This past Friday was a rollar coaster of emotion. I met with 6 families throughout the day at Methodist Hospital for sessions through the ACPCG. I photographed 7 babies total! :) Every time I walk into a NICU, I never know what to expect. Friday was no different. There were a few tears but luckily smiles outshined.

I'm always amazed by how strong the families of these children are. Some of these parents may possibly lose their child, but they always find the strength to take the time to thank me with huge smiles on their faces. I am SO grateful that I get to share such personal moments in their lives. I cannot be more thankful that I get to provide this gift to families in need! :)

Baby Holden...

Baby Bryce...

Baby Miguel...

Baby Zane...

Baby Noah...

And last but not least, twins! Baby Chloe...

And her brother, Baby Connor...

I love the top ones little chicken hair! And also, seems like there were some really hot moms this time. Am I allowed to say that? I am positive that if I had a baby I would NOT be looking that gorgeous afterward.

Nicole,

7??!! Wow!

so so so so beautiful. I am soooo happy you are doing this. The gift you are giving these families is fantastic. Though alison has not been in the NICU, she was in the PICU and I know how first hand how emotional it is as a mom. For you to be there and help the families is a wonderful thing and speaks volumes about you personally. Not to mention the images you take..well, they speak for themselves. :)

All of these babies are gorgeous. I hope they are doing well and find themselves leaving the NICU soon!

These pictures are amazing. They are so special, and the families will cherish them forever! Thank you so much for getting involved. The NICU can be a lonely place for families after weeks and weeks of being there. I know you brighten their day!

I am hoping to get very involved in our local hospitals soon. The NICU definitely changed my life, and I was so greatful for every little thing during that time. I hope to bring a little joy to other families.

I really can't say it enough - speaking for all of the families that you donate your time and talent to....THANK YOU, thank you, thank you!

So precious...you and the babies. Not only do you donate your time and talent, but you pay for the film and books you give the families. Hopefully Walmart or Target will someday sponsor these special gifts you supply to the families. Obviously you can't put a "price" on something that lasts a lifetime...no matter how long that life is.

Nicole, what an amazing treat you are giving these families! I was fortunate enough that only one of my twins was in NICU (and for a limited time), but it was heartbreaking nonetheless having my son away from me where I couldn't see him. These families will cherish these pictures forever! The world needs more people like you! Sincerely, Angela

Nicole,
Checking in after C&C turned two! I still treasure the photos you provided for us while they were in the hospital. They are our only hospital photos. They have grown into two happy, healthy and normal toddlers!
