Indiana weather is SO unpredictable which in return causes way too much stress in my life. :) I had been keeping a close watch on the changing forecast for about a week before this shoot, keeping my fingers crossed that it wouldn't rain. Friday happened to be the only day this (absolutely adorable) couple, Laura and Curtis, could do their engagement session. They both live in Colorado and the next time they would be in Indy would be in June, for their wedding! Thankfully, the rain held off and we had a perfect mostly cloudy morning for taking pictures. :)
I had soo much fun with them. I seriously cannot wait for their wedding. They made my job so easy .. being super cute with each other and funny. :) They were also up for anything, which was what I was hoping because I had a fun idea. I've been hearing great things about a cute little bakery with amazing cupcakes called Sweet Lucinda's right in Zionsville where we were. I thought what would be cuter than having them share a cupcake?! The results speak for themselves (adorable right?!). I'm pretty sure those are my favorites from the day.
Laura & Curtis - Thanks so much for letting Dan and I drag you all over Zionsville, even though it was freezing! We can't wait for your wedding!

baby bradyn
This sweet little boy is Bradyn. I contacted his mom to see if they wanted some photos through the ACPCG this past week. He happens to be friends with another baby who I photographed last year, Addyson. I was so excited when they took me up on the offer. I had been reading a blog his family updates and was really looking forward to meeting them.
After searching for a parking spot for over half an hour (which was way more stressful than it should have been!) at Riley Children's Hospital, I finally got to meet him, his mom Jill and his Grandmother. He could have cared less that I was there taking pictures. :) He was just happy to have mom and Grandma singing to him. It was so sweet. Isn't his smile contagious? :)

baby eliza
So I might be one of the only photographer's on the planet who isn't in Vegas right now for the big photo convention but I'm living it up anyway. My mom and I have been in Illinois the past few days staying at my grandparents. Some of our relatives from Germany (Frank, Elke & their super cute baby Eliza) are here visiting. Of course I had to take a few pictures of the baby. :) Last year when we were in Germany, we were there when she was baptized. It was really nice seeing them again!
Even though Vegas will have to wait until next year for me to grace it with my presence, I've still got some great shoots coming up this week that I'm really looking forward to. I'll post them soon!
Anyway, how cute is this baby!? :)

baby westin
Meet Baby Westin. He's spent 80 days in the hospital since he was born and finally got the great news that he's going home today! :) I was supposed to meet him and his family at the hospital last week but got I hit with the flu. We rescheduled for this morning and I'm so glad I got to photograph him before he went home! :)
Carissa & Ryan .. it was so great meeting you guys. All my best to you and your adorable boy!
I photographed Baby Westin as part of the the American Child Photographers Charity Guild. We are a group of photographers who volunteer our services to families at no charge who are dealing with early infant loss, extremely premature child birth and families who have terminally ill children. If you know someone who qualifies for these portraits, please contact me as soon as possible!
